What is Forex?

Forex, or the foreign exchange market, is considered the most active financial market in the world. Our goal is to provide clients with education, tools, trading platforms, and accounts for successful navigation and trading in the Forex market. In other words, it’s a global financial market for currency exchange. If your prediction that one currency will strengthen against another is correct, you can make a profit.

The Forex market, open for trading 24/5, is available for the buying and selling of currencies and is actively utilized by banks, corporations, investment firms, hedge funds, and individual traders. This market is considered the largest and most liquid in the world, with a daily turnover of over $6.5 trillion USD, representing growth from just $5 trillion USD only a few years ago.

Major Currency Pairs

Major currencies are those that have the highest trading volume relative to the US dollar. An example of a widely traded currency pair is the euro against the US dollar, denoted as EUR/USD.

Minor Currency Pairs

Currency pairs that do not include the US dollar are called minor or cross currency pairs. These pairs are characterized by small differences between buying and selling prices (spreads) and have lower liquidity compared to major pairs. Examples of cross currency pairs include EUR/GBP, GBP/JPY, and EUR/CHF.

Exotic Currency Pairs

Exotic currency pairs are combinations of currencies that include currencies from emerging markets. These pairs are characterized by lower liquidity and significantly wider spreads. An example of an exotic currency pair is USD/SGD (US Dollar/Singapore Dollar).
